In booking the room I was informed that the 2nd floor was the "pet floor". Not a problem for me. I had booked my trip through Web and in the course had provided my cell phone number as a way to contact me. When I checked in, the front desk had assigned me a room on the 3rd floor. I informed him that I had a pet with me. He assured me that it was okay, but in all cases the hotel required a $* deposit if you have a pet. Makes sense if your pet does any damage to the room. Again, so far I'm good. Here's where things get bad. My son and I put our dog in the Crate and say our goodbyes to head out with our other friends for a fun day on Cocoa Beach. As we are leaving I can hear the dog barking but assume he will stop. Apparently he didn't. While we were out I received no phone calls telling me that my dog was causing a problem and that there were complaints. What I did get when I returned was being locked out of my room and a $* charge on my credit card because people complained about my barking dog. Thats right...not because he chewed the furniture, but because people complained about his barking..DURING THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY. No one tried to call me and I lost $* bucks. The general manager refused to hear me or refund my money even though no dammage to the room had been done.

I have had pleasant stays here many times when I traveled to the space coast on business. But when I brought my family to stop over night before a cruise out of port Canaveral, The sheets on the fold-out bed were old and dirty (yuck), and the springs were broken. Hotel staff provided clean sheets, but said all the available rooms with sleeper sofas had broken springs. We made do by putting the sleeper mattress on the floor, but it wasn't a good start to a family vacation.

The room was a good value for the money, and it was a lot more than I normally spend on a hotel room. The suite was a true suite - separate bedroom, sofa bed in the living room, two televisions, and a kitchenette. The room was clean and well cared for. It was a short walk to the beach, Ron Jon's Surf Shop, and many restaurants. The beach is very nice, family friendly and uncrowded. Close to Kennedy Space Center, Port Canaveral, and other attractions. If you like beachfront hotels, try this one, walk a block, and save a lot of money! Continental breakfast wasn't fancy but there was plenty of food and good variety. Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The off-season rates are fantastic. We got a two room suite with sink, microwave and frig. Jacuzzi was nice, used their shuttle to cruise ship, and had free use of computer at another hotel nearby.
